Dr. Kevin Anderson

Hello, everyone -

My name is Dr. Kevin Anderson. Prior to taking this position, I heard so many great things about this school, and I am very excited about working with you this upcoming year! I was born and raised in Louisa, and I graduated from Louisa County High School. After graduating, I attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, where I received my bachelor's and two master's degrees. Following my second master’s degree, I enrolled in the Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program at Liberty University and successfully completed it in November 2021.

I began teaching special education in Richmond at Martin Luther King Middle School in 2012 and then transferred to Oak Grove Bellemeade Elementary School in 2015. After four years of teaching in Richmond, I relocated back to my hometown and taught special education at Louisa County High School for two years. In 2018, I accepted my first assistant principal role at Buford Middle School in Charlottesville and remained there for three years. In 2021, I transitioned into a central office position and became a specialist in Facilities, Safety, and Operations.

My diverse background of teaching and administrative experience has prepared me for this position, and I feel confident that I will be able to have a positive impact on this school. As we all work together to move our students forward, feel free to be creative and share any ideas you have with me. I truly believe in teamwork and that everyone has a unique skill that can help to move our school in a positive direction. Everyone take care and have a great year.
